There I found a gallery that represented an artist by the name of Andrea Vizzini. Not until after acquiring a few of his incredible masterpieces (along with admiring the aesthetic depth of his work compilied in the many books presented for exhibition) did I realize how much of an influence his paintings would eventually have on my music. He is, in this generation, on the way to joining the esteemed ranks of Dali, Picasso, da Vinci, and Michelangelo. If these paintings could speak, we could hear volumes of music in visions never yet realized. Somehow, he paints with colors in such deep vivid harmonic contrasts (like Stravinsky did with a symphonic piece) that one can only dream to create in music. His mysterious imagery, the paradox of concepts through spirit, the architectural lines with space in eloquent antiquity and modernism: this is Vizzini. - Al Di Meola Al Di Meola, electric and acoustic guitars, (VG8-Tamboura, Fretless bass, trumpet, accordion, organ, vocals, percussion, cymbals)
